Growth

The growth of your crop. Fieldlook measures four parameters that visualize this production of biomass. Of the entire crop, above the ground as well as below.

Biomass production
The amount of dry matter in kilograms per hectare that grows each week. The main indicator for you as a breeder is to control the performance of the crop. Besides that, the spots with a significant variation of biomass production within a field will directly show you the need for further investigation.

CO2 intake
CO2 is one of the key nutrients for plants. The intake is in direct relationship to growth. CO2 intake is measured in kilograms per hectare per week.

Leaf Area Index (LAI)
The amount of leaf surface. A snapshot of the m2 leaf area per m2 of surface soil. This parameter indicates how "densely" your cereals grow or how much foliage there is on your plants.

Vegetation Index (NDVI)
The indicator for the vitality of your crop. A high index means healthy and strong growing vegetation. This index does not say how much biomass there is. Therefore you use the Biomass production parameter.
